Bridget
Female
6 Years Old
Bichon
LEARN MORE
Help this X breeding mama feel safe in a forever home.
A short 9lbs🐾🐾🐾
6 years old
Fully vaccinated🩺
Spayed🌸
Cleaned teeth
Microchipped
Would love a mentor dog to learn from.
Older kids are best. She will not like being chased around by little ones. A calm environment will help her adjust.
She’s spunky and fit. That tail is always wagging.
***Bridget will require a fence and need to be walked on leash within fenced area until she gets to know you and learns her place in your home.
She feels safe in her crate and is easily picked up from her crate. She tenses up a bit when holding her. Bridget still runs away when you reach to pick her up from the floor. She usually runs to her crate.
Bridget uses dog door and is great on the bedside steps. After hanging out in her fosters bed she will retreat to her crate for sleep. She knows her name and after a couple months with her foster mom is happy and starting to relax. She bathes well and grooms well. She does great on potty training although a new environment and routine will require some extra training. She does not potty in her crate.

Bernese Mountain Dog
LEARN MORE
Meet Duchess, a timid soul who needs a special place to call home. This sweet girl has had a rough start in life, leaving her extremely shy and sensitive. Dutchess often hides in the corner, unfamiliar with the simple joys that most dogs take for granted, like treats and belly rubs. Dutchess is a true rehab case, requiring a fresh start and someone who can show her that the world isn't such a scary place. She needs a patient and caring person who can teach her, step by step, that people won't hurt her anymore. With love and understanding, Dutchess can learn to trust again and discover the happiness she deserves.
If you have a kind heart and the dedication to guide Dutchess through her journey to recovery, she will be forever grateful and loyal. Are you ready to give Dutchess the second chance she needs?

Georgina and Zebuline
Females
LEARN MORE
Georgina and Zebuline
The cutest little duo!!
Georgina has some front leg deformation, though it has hardly slowed her down much. And Zebuline’s tail is permanently kinked at the end. They are quite the pair.
They are so happy and Georgina’s tail never stops wagging.
These golden girls will require regular grooming.
They are working hard at being house trained and do well if regularly attended to. So someone home would be ideal.
They need soft foods or water on kibble as they don’t have a full set of teeth between them. Zebuline has a handful of teeth and George is totally toothless.
Walking on a leash is also not a thing they understand so plan on carrying them or using a cat backpack. On the bright side, this will greatly increase your credibility as a true eccentric.
Georgina did have several seizures upon initial rescue, but this determined girl has since remained seizure-free on very inexpensive daily meds.
Georgina and Zebuline are sweet dogs. George is especially fond of people and food, while Zebuline would prefer just the food (though she is coming around to my charm). They are very portable, around 10lbs a piece (I’m rounding), and currently share a crate. Other than meal times, they are easy to forget as they mostly choose to sleep in their crate, often snuggling. It’s clear they have looked to one another for support and comfort for a long time. While they would be happy to remain together, I believe the set can successfully be split-up. They do well in the car for extended periods. They are fine with dogs and cats. They are fantastic watch dogs. They sleep through the night, but make for a good alarm clock at breakfast time (handy for those who, like myself, frequent the snooze button too much). They are spayed and fully vaccinated.

Meet Giorgio!
This dapper dude is 3 years old and 16lbs. He is a tall mini poodle and needs to gain a few pounds. Georgio is a sweetheart but he is so very scared. He is not good on the leash. He is working on potty training and doing okay with it. He is quite skittish but definitely making slow progress. He is curious abt the humans in the house, but very hesitant to trust. He has moments of running around the yard where he looks pretty happy if he is just hanging out with the dogs. He enjoys being outdoor. He keeps retreating to his pen to feel safe. He is going to need a lot of love and patience. Definitely needs a yard with a good fence and a dog friend. Major flight risk. Giorgio is fostered in Columbus.

Hercules and Zena
Male and Female
7 Years Old
Yorkies
LEARN MORE
To be adopted together
Yorkies
6 and 3 lbs respectively
No fence needed
Condo ok
Potty training and leash training ongoing
Fantastic with kids and dogs alike
Prefer someone home most of the time
Introducing the cutest pair of tiny Heroes ever to crawl into a lap! Xena and Hercules came to us from a commercial breeding situation but they wasted no time in making themselves right at home with their foster family. Their fear of humans lasted about an hour until the school bus dropped the kids off and the yorkies discovered the glorious existence of "snack time".
These 7ish year old Tiny titans are gold medal treat takers despite being dentally challenged. Xena has mainly bottom teeth left and Hercules has a beautiful gummy smile with no teeth at all. Despite this, they manage just fine with their food with a bit of water added.
A day in the life of a hero is a fascinating thing. Hercules wakes up first and wanders over to the pee pee pads to do what dogs do on pee pee pads. Xena reluctantly opens an eye and then bravely kicks the family chihuahua awake to sound the alarm to wake the family. The day continues with an immediate trip down stairs and out to the back yard for ongoing potty training. It is a hit or miss thing at this point. No fence is necessary as they stay close to the Foster mama while Herc continues to mark every fallen leaf. Then it is breakfast and snuggle time with the humans.
From there, the day includes alternating play time with long stretches of napping while mama works. Xena takes her role of the squeaky toy destroyer very seriously and no squeaky toy is safe from the 6 lb punisher. Heavyweight Hercules is a bit more timid at 3 terrifying lbs and has only recently decided that he prefers crinkle and stretchy toys. This includes wrappers and hair scrunchies along with the preferred dog safe toys.
These heroes are fully vetted and ready to come save your day!

Jersey
Female
4 Years Old
Cavalier-Spaniel Mix
LEARN MORE
Jersey is a 14 pound female cavalier-spaniel mix . She is a 4.6 year old sweet pup from a commercial breeder. She is potty trained, sleeps quietly at night in a crate or with her pup friends, eats great, and loves the other dogs. Jersey has faced some trying moments when both the vet and groomer have tried to pick her up. She jumped away from them, luckily not injuring herself. She still is not ready for humans to interact with her. She follows me around everywhere, either a step ahead or a step behind me, but is reluctant to be petted or held. Jersey loves treats, loves to be talked to and praised and will stand on two feet to get my attention. She enjoys sitting and playing on the deck outside, hates to step in the grass, and resists any attempt to put her on a leash. She must have a very patient, understanding adopter, a fenced in yard and companion dogs and a very patient adopter as she needs more socialization and time to learn trust

Figaro
Male
2-3 Months Old
LEARN MORE
This is Figaro (from Pinocchio) and he is currently living temporarily in Dublin, OH with his foster family. We think he is maybe 2.5 or 3 months and tiny. He's still shy but wants to pretend he's a big brave boy ready to tackle the rest of our pack- or join him but he still needs dewormed so he waits impatiently behind closed doors.
He loves to cuddle but loves to play like a kitten even more, I have a feeling, that once he's ready, he's going to enjoy sneak-attacking everyone!

Lizzie
Female
2-3 Years Old
LEARN MORE
Lizzie is another female Tortoiseshell in foster care that has been fixed, tested negative for fiv, had her shots and will need them updated in a few months, and is located in Dublin, OH. We believe Lizzie was born in either December of 2021 or January of 2022 , making her approximately 2.5-3 years old. She still loves to play like a kitten. Her favorite things are hunting any bug that dared to come in the house, watch the birds and dream of catching one, and pouncing on her foster sister- Mary Poppins who is a younger Torti in foster care.
Lizzie loves the large dogs in our house, they ignore her, but since they are so calm she will go up and rub in their face or try to sit with them. She lives with other cats, loud kids and chinchillas with no problem. Sometimes I think she is a magician because I have no clue where she goes during the day unless she's birdwatching. (All fosters are indoor only cats) but at night she magically appears and will start rubbing her head on your hand for attention, trying to sit with you, or some other form of needing attention right then. We haven't gotten her to the point of her letting us pick her up, but I know the right family will.
If you have time, patience, and energy to keep her engaged

Mary Poppins
Female
10 Months Old
LEARN MORE
Mary Poppins is a female Tortoiseshell kitten who is about 10 months old that was likely born in October of 2023. She currently is located in Dublin, OH. She has been fixed, tested negative for FIV, and had shots where she will not be due again for a few more months. She is curious, but cautious around our large dogs (they ignore her). She lives with other cats, loud kids, and chinchillas; nothing scares her. Mary prefers not to be alone- another cat will suffice, or a family she can follow around.
She loves to cuddle at nap time but loves to play even more. She may meow in protest if you try to get her to nap with you but she won't leave even if you aren't holding her still. She just needs to make sure you know it was her idea to cuddle. Mary loves pouncing on her adopted litter mates when they aren't paying attention. Lizzie, another Torti, is her favorite friend (and adoptable) because Lizzie will play with her or chase her around for fun.
Mary Poppins, Mary for short, knows her name, comes on command when she feels like it, and we think she is practically purr-fect in every way. Below are current pictures, she just photographs as really small. She is lean and beautiful though.

Raven
Female
4 Years Old
LEARN MORE
Raven is a black female cat that mimics the look and behavior of a Bombay cat, but she's likely just a talkative black cat. that resides in Dublin, OH for now. We believe she was born around September of 2020, making this young girl around 4 years old with TONS of life left to live. She was tested negative for FIV, is fixed, and vetted with shots being due in the next few months. ou can pick her up gently but she gets scared and prefers all paws on a surface. She does, however, love sitting on top of people.
Raven has a sad story. She was with us then adopted. She was excited to go to a family with kids, a dog, and another cat. But life happened, as it often does, and they were not able to keep her. She came back to her foster family to wait for the family she was meant to be with; is that you?
Raven is tired of bouncing between families and just wants to feel safe and loved. She lives with other cats, dogs, chinchilla and kids. That being said, Raven would be happiest as the only cat and with a lazy dog sibling or a place to escape high like a cat tree. Her favorite pastimes and places to sit are in the sun in the morning to watch the kids go to school, then birdwatching in the back of the house, a siesta in the hidey hole of the cat tree, taking over her foster moms computer after 6 to get attention and give her foster mom some really good deep compression therapy while they watch tv. She ends the night telling her foster dad that all the cats want the food bowl refilled. If you don't hear her, she's happy to tell you a bit louder while winding between your feet. Once you do it, she will look at you like she's very proud.
You may have seen Raven on Instagram or TikTok doing her call-and-answer with her foster mom; if not, check it out.
*Like most rescues, her adoption will be paused if not completed by October with minor exceptions considered because not all people are as nice as you are and for her safety. To apply for Raven go to www.FreedomTailsOhio to apply (you can use the dog app)
